11/27 Record Store Day Reissues: Top Picks

There were A LOT of vinyl reissues for Black Friday this year, as opposed to New Releases. This inspired me to sift through the list and select a few must-haves. You can check out the full list on the Record Store Day site.

Another Music in a Different Kitchen – Buzzcocks

The 1978 debut by the English band sees a reissue on 180-gram translucent orange vinyl.

Songs of the Free – Gang of Four

Influential post-punk legends reissue their third LP.

Live at Wonderland ’68 – Janis Joplin with Big Brother and the Holding Company

A 2-piece set commemorating the legendary San Francisco performance at the height of Joplin’s career. It includes a 20 page booklet.

Barbed Wire Kisses (B-Sides and More) – The Jesus and Mary Chain

This compilation  also includes a few covers and an acoustic track.

Dedicated – The Kinks

Long out of print, this EP includes favorites “Dedicated Follower of Fashion” and “Set Me Free”.

Time To Pretend – MGMT

Can you believe it’s been ten years already? This MGMT reissue is released on a very collectible glow in the dark vinyl.

Bohemian Rhapsody – Queen

The 40th Anniversary reissue of the legendary track.

50 – The Sonics

An absolute must for any garage rock aficionados. A 3 part set that also includes a poster and booklet.
