“Almost everything you do or say is fucked up in some way”, singer Ellis Jones sings on “Football” off of the second album this year for Bristol lo-fi indie slingers Trust Fund. A recent stint of touring with Speedy Ortiz has locked in the group as one to watch in the coming year.

Electronic strange-ling Grimes moves closer to mainstream success following her headlining spot at Beach Goth 4 and the release of her fourth album, Art Angels. “Flesh without Blood/Life in the Vivid Dream” is much more accessible than some of her previous works, but keeps the freak-pop vibe high without sacrificing her perspective.
